The building came first — an award-winning piece of Art Nouveau from 1908, its grand sandstone facade standing in the heart of Lisbon. Inside, 1908 Lisboa Hotel answers with a chic industrial calm.
The 36 rooms and suites keep to white and grey: black metal accents, dark wood, a marble vanity, and one deliberate note of colour in the purple blanket on each bed.
On the ground floor, Infame cooks a Portuguese-inspired menu from seasonal local produce, while the bar mixes classic cocktails and a few the season suggests.
