A 13-story concrete-and-glass tower in downtown Brooklyn, its interiors drawn by Stonehill Taylor in the same industrial key. The lobby keeps things dark and calm — black metal, exposed concrete, dark wood, plants softening the edges.
All 287 rooms and suites are pet-friendly. Warehouse-style windows let the light pour across exposed concrete ceilings and local, vintage wooden furniture; deep green appears in quiet doses. A SMEG fridge, a Tivoli radio, wings+horns bathrobes, sustainable bath products.
At As You Are, chef Camille Becerra runs a neighborhood restaurant, bakery, and bar built on modern American fare with a Brooklyn touch. The lobby bar keeps it simpler. A gym, if the day calls for it.
