Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge

The place

A short walk from the center of Stowe, Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge is built for Vermont’s backcountry. The 53 rooms and suites come in warm, earthy palettes — rustic furnishings, plaid blankets, dark wooden floors, Public Goods in the bath. Two private timber cottages take the larger groups.

Pools indoors and out, a hot tub, a fitness center, a game room, a lounge. Breakfast is served each morning in the Great Room.

There is no restaurant, but the bar keeps a range of all-day bites, cocktails, and smoothies — and the town holds the rest.
