Casa Cody

The place

Casa Cody has been in Palm Springs since the 1920s, and it still feels like a secret — a private garden in the heart of downtown, greenery weaving between the buildings. Electric Bowery reworked the interiors as a contemporary reading of the Spanish Colonial Revival original.

The 30 accommodations are one of a kind: studios, suites, cottages, and houses with stone floors, bold-patterned rugs, and colorful Spanish Revivalist furnishing. Zellige tiles line the kitchenettes and bathrooms; Parachute Home makes the beds; MoonCloth Designs stocks the toiletries.

Two pools anchor the grounds — one kidney-shaped, one rectangular — edged with plush loungers and blooming vegetation. The Marketplace, the all-day bistro, keeps meals and drinks casual.
