The place
By the waterfront Geelong Botanic Gardens, a former Salvation Army conference and church centre, remade in June 2022. Design studio Mitchell & Eades gave it a calm mid-century line, with quirky objects left to catch the eye.
The 46 stays run from compact rooms to two-bedroom apartments — plush bedding, a terrazzo bathroom, a work desk, a smart TV, free wifi. Simple things, done properly.
At the centre, a resort-style pool ringed by greenery and loungers. A billiard room with two tables. North Of Eden Bar pours from four until eight each evening.
