The place
Hotel Gilbert lives behind a plant-lined facade in Vienna's 7th district, near Neubau. BWM designed the interiors in a cosy Scandinavian register. The 57 rooms and suites carry wooden floors, modern furnishings, plants, well-appointed amenities, and pops of navy and yellow.
A wooden sauna, a relaxation space, and a 24-hour gym with machines and free weights are open to guests. The glass-roofed central atrium doubles as a place to lounge or work.
&Flora takes care of the food. Chefs Parvin Razavi and Richard Hering run the laid-back café-brasserie, cooking vibrant, playful vegetarian cuisine.
