The place

In the Zakynthos countryside, on a hill of pine trees with views running in every direction. The 32 suites occupy stone buildings inspired by Venetian mansions — creamy hues, breezy furnishing, some with a private pool.

An outdoor pool sits at the center, edged with plush lounge beds. There is a compact modern gym, and a moody spa with a Turkish hammam, a sauna, and treatments.

Verde Ruga carries the evenings. Under chef Panayiotis Pettas, the al-fresco restaurant cooks vibrant Mediterranean dishes; the Kafeteria fills in with drinks and bites.
