Violino D’Oro

The place

A seventeenth-century building a few steps from Piazza San Marco. Violino D’Oro opened in late 2023, and nearly everything inside was made nearby — furniture and materials sourced from quality local brands, layered with antiques, glasswork, and art.

The thirty-two rooms and suites keep to an ivory palette, vintage pieces beside bespoke ones. Bathrooms are Venetian Seminato marble with crystal details; the bedding is deluxe, the bath products by Ortigia.

Downstairs, Il Piccolo serves elevated home cooking in the Venetian manner, under chef Stefano Santo. At the bar, Francesco Adragna mixes with the same precision.
