The place

Ying’nFlo sits in Wan Chai, one of Hong Kong’s livelier districts. The lobby feels closer to a home than a hotel — curated objects, wood, warm beige light.

The 70 apartment-style rooms, by interior studio Linehouse Design, are done in light wood and pastel, with playful modern furnishings. Comfortable bedding, a smart TV, and — useful for longer stays — a compact kitchenette and laundry.

Outside, a planted social area with plenty of places to sit. There is no restaurant in the house; the neighbourhood provides. Samsen, nearby, makes traditional Boat Noodles.
