The place
On a Franschhoek hillside, surrounded by 50 hectares of sprawling fynbos. Six guest rooms and a cottage, each designed in its own Arts and Crafts manner. The Valley Suite says it plainly: rustic brickwork, a fireplace, a sun-drenched deck.
The 25-meter outdoor pool faces the Franschhoek valley and the mountains beyond. There is a cedar sauna, a wellness room for treatments, and an orchard and vegetable garden to walk through.
No restaurant here. Lunch and dinner can be arranged with notice; the in-house kitchen handles fresh breakfast and a short list of drinks. The fynbos handles the rest.
