Steps from Beringer Vineyards in St Helena, Alila Napa Valley is the valley distilled — gorgeous views, and a tranquility that settles in quickly.

The 64 rooms and suites, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, are generous in scale. Casa Zeta furniture, Rivolta Carmignani linens, a marble bathroom with Le Labo bath products — and a private balcony from which to watch the light change.

At the center, an outdoor pool edged with plush loungers and fire pits. A modern fitness center and a pampering spa with relaxation rooms, a steam room, and a hydrotherapy shower round things out. Violetto joins Italian flavors to French technique; Salvia Terrace & Bar is for the slower hours.
