The place

Three verdant acres beside a vineyard in St Helena, in the heart of Napa Valley. The house style is Palisociety's playful European one: 24 rooms and 5 standalone cottages with preppy furnishings, checkered headboards, and an emerald-tiled shower.

Each room is quietly stocked — Bellino linens, a Marshall speaker, Diptyque bath products.

Outside, a garden pool and hot tub sit among striped loungers and greenery. Each morning, a complimentary champagne continental breakfast is laid out in the lobby lounge: local pastries, seasonal fruit, granola.
