The place

An 1881 Aesthetic Movement mansion on a lush winery estate in Healdsburg, near Napa Valley. Jay Jeffers set the tone: classicist bones, contemporary gestures, and a collection of art and antiques worth lingering over.

Each of the 26 rooms and suites is designed on its own terms, moody and old-world with modern touches — Bellino Italian linens on the bed, Flamingo Estate in the bath.

Outside, a saltwater pool sits wrapped in greenery and loungers. There is a fitness center too. In the kitchen, Michelin-starred chef Jesse Mallgren cooks from what the estate itself grows.
