The place

Barnsley Resort unfolds across 3,000 acres near Adairsville, Georgia, with the Blue Ridge Mountains as a standing invitation. The 142 accommodations split between the main inn and the cottages — the latter reimagined by Charlotte Lucas with vintage-inspired furnishings, inviting tones, bold patterns, modern amenities, and a private porch for slow evenings.

The grounds carry a relaxation pool, a lazy river pool, a Jim Fazio golf course, a spa, pickleball courts, and hiking trails. Horseback riding, kayaking, and archery fill the days. Of the three main places to eat and drink, Jules is set inside a restored 19th-century farmhouse.
