The place

A nineteenth-century brick mansion near the center of Burlington, hiding 14 rooms behind its walls. Elder & Ash shaped the interior around the grandeur of Queen Anne and Colonial-Georgian Revival styles — tall ceilings, original moldings, eclectic vintage furnishings, curated objects and artwork.

Some rooms add a separate living area, a fireplace, a private patio. Downstairs, the house keeps giving: a solarium gone jungle-like with sprawling plants, a dining room, a fully stocked pantry, a barroom, a living room.

Every morning the dining room lays out a complimentary toast-bar breakfast — breads, quinoa, oats, yogurts.
