The place

Cambria Beach Lodge sits a stone's throw from Moonstone Beach, a coastal surf hideout on California's Central Coast. Once a motel, it has been reimagined in white and teal, with sun-bleached wood floors, breezy furnishings, and artwork by Iron & Resin across its 28 rooms.

The Beach House suite offers two private terraces, a separate living area, and a full kitchen for those wanting more room. The sky deck is the quiet centerpiece — a place for a glass of local Paso wine with sweeping Pacific views. There is no restaurant on-site, but breakfast is served daily: local coffee, fruit, hardboiled eggs, and simple things done well.
