At the riverfront edge of the Financial District, Casa Cipriani New York — the legendary Italian members' club — occupies the historic Battery Maritime Building, its olive Beaux-Arts facade freshly restored. Inside, Thierry Despont composed an Art Deco calm: lacquered mahogany, timeless furnishing, low light that flatters everything.
The 47 rooms and suites are made slowly. Vintage-inspired Italian furniture, Loro Piana linings, brass accents, curated artwork. Marble bathrooms, Magniflex bedding, Rivolta Carmignani linens, La Bottega bath products.
Elsewhere, a state-of-the-art gym, a cedar sauna, a steam room, a spa. Several rooms for dining and drinking, the Club Restaurant grandest among them, with a sophisticated Italian menu.
