The place

An 18th-century palazzo in the center of Florence, once the headquarters of Ginori porcelain production. Restored by architect Cecilia Pantaleo in 2022, Casa G holds the balance between what the building remembers and what it needs now.

The 15 rooms and suites keep to white and wood, warmed by antique furniture, brass fixtures, and curated objects. The suites climb to a second level beneath ancient frescoes. Plush bedding, a rain shower — the basics, done properly.

Days pass between the two patios and a communal living room with an honesty bar. Breakfast is fresh, served in two rooms made for it. There is no restaurant on-site, but quality tables wait nearby.
