The place

Castle Hill Inn occupies a 40-acre peninsula beside the ocean in Newport, Rhode Island. Its 33 rooms and suites are scattered across the historic Agassiz Mansion, beach houses, and harbor houses. The Turret Suite is the one we return to — elegant dark wood, a standalone tub, and Narragansett Bay filling the windows.

Days here pass quietly. The lawn terrace looks over the water, a private white sand beach waits below, and the boutique spa handles the rest.

Dinner belongs to Aurelia, one of New England's finest tables: an ever-changing six-course tasting menu alongside a curated wine list.
