The place
A sleek, curvaceous glass high-rise by Nikken Sekkei in Osaka’s Dojima district, opened in 2024. Inside, a group of local studios has rethought the ryokan in modern terms — clean lines, wooden blinds, stone finishes.
The 175 rooms and suites stay with soothing neutrals and refined furnishing. Some carry the tradition further: tatami floors, a dark ofuro stone bath. Marble bathrooms throughout, stocked with Natura Bissé.
Wellness runs deep — an indoor infinity pool, traditional Japanese baths, a fitness center open around the clock. Five dining concepts span the map, from authentic Cantonese to vibrant French.
