The place

Patina opened in May 2025 beside Osaka Castle — an urban sanctuary in the castle's shadow. The 221 rooms and suites run unusually spacious, set in warm earthy tones with refined modern furniture and traditional Japanese accents. Italian Frette linens, a bathtub, Dyson hairdryers, Bamford toiletries.

Well-being sits at the centre. The 1,400-square-metre wellness space holds a serene indoor pool, a state-of-the-art gym, an infrared sauna, a cryotherapy pod, and six spa suites.

Five dining concepts complete the picture — INAKI cooks wood-fired Basque cuisine, while P72 works a seasonal, farm-to-table menu.
