A converted Hamstone bank in South Petherton, Somerset. The sandstone facade gives way to a delightful contemporary interior — pared-down plaster walls, soft furnishings, curated objects.

Each of the 7 rooms has its own personality. Egyptian linens, Haeckel's bath products; some keep a gorgeous freestanding bathtub for slow evenings.

The kitchen is the reason many come. Dining runs across the chef's table, the dining room, and the terrace, holding to seasonality and locality — wholesome dishes, an approachable drink list.
