The place

An orange brick Romanesque landmark on Forsyth Park, remade with the Mediterranean in mind. The communal rooms carry a punchy palette and clean modern furniture; the mood softens upstairs.

The 149 oversized rooms and suites keep to white and pale wood, curved furniture, washes of soft green and orange. Frette linens on the bed, Corpus in the bath, a Dyson hairdryer in the drawer.

Days settle around the large outdoor pool. There is also a spa, a fully-equipped gym, and pickleball courts. Saint Bibiana serves coastal Italian; The Green Room stays dim and small.
