The place

A 17th-century convent beside Colline du Château in Nice, reimagined as a 5-star hotel. Multiple designers worked to bring back its old-world charm — soothing, a little moody. The 88 rooms and suites are each their own: vintage furniture, subtle palettes, curated antiques, history left in the details.

Water runs through the place. A 20-meter outdoor pool, a serene indoor pool, Roman baths. Then terraced gardens, a movement studio, a spa.

Four places to eat and drink. At Le Restaurant du Couvent, the main table, chef Thomas Vetele keeps the cooking simple, traditional, and local.
