Hotel Hana
The place
A conversation between Japanese minimalism and Belle Époque maximalism, held in a beautiful sandstone building a short walk from the Louvre, in the 2nd arrondissement. In the lobby, Art Nouveau materials meet dark wood and soft hues.
The 26 rooms and suites lean oriental. Inspired by a feng shui calm, they pair lacquered wooden furniture with textured straw walls, abstract Pierre Frey carpets, and velvet headboards. The bathrooms follow through — terracotta marble tiles, chrome fixtures, Diptyque on the shelf.
A small hotel with a holistic wellness space: a tranquil pool, a fitness room, a Japanese-inspired spa. At Hanabi, reimagined by Shirley Garrier, classic French dishes take a Japanese turn; the in-house bar keeps a selection of Japanese and French bottles.
