A 19th-century Haussmann building steps from the Louvre, kept deliberately dark. Sarah Lavoine mixes contemporary and classic into a moody whole.
The 37 rooms and suites hold a rich jewel-tone palette — patterned rugs, velvet, brass trims, Carrara marble vanities, handmade Moroccan zelliges.
The indoor pool is the rare thing: crafted from black lava rock. A hammam, a fitness room, and a spa keep it company. Maison 28 spans the interior and the outdoor terrace, a dark-themed restaurant and bar reworking French classics with fresh local produce.
