The place

Beside the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, Hotel Havana inhabits a Mediterranean Revival building from 1914. Bunkhouse revived it without erasing it — behind the historic beige facade, an old-world mood shaped by Mexico and Cuba: dark wooden furnishing, vibrant velvet seating, grand lighting.

The 27 rooms are one of a kind, each with a slightly different personality. Bastrop pine underfoot, antique furniture, Turkish rugs, Cuban artwork on the walls, a SMEG fridge in the corner.

Two eclectic places to eat and drink. Ocho, set in a glass conservatory, serves an all-day menu drawn from the flavors of Mexico, Cuba, and Texas. Below, in the basement, Havana Bar keeps things intimate, with a wide selection of drinks.
