The place

On Flinders in the Melbourne CBD since August 2023, and shaped around the photographer Helmut Newton. The lobby reads almost like a gallery — photographic prints, sudden colour, a whimsical charm that never announces itself.

The 216 rooms and suites carry a film-studio theme in white and grey. A large photo print anchors each one; contemporary furnishings, vibrant seating, plush bedding and Biology toiletries do the rest.

There is a well-appointed gym with state-of-the-art equipment. On the ground floor, Beso Bar & Restaurant serves contemporary Spanish cooking from Australian produce, morning and evening.
