On Sardinia's southwest coast, among the dunes, an old stone warehouse has been given a second life. Hotel Le Dune Piscinas is secluded in the best sense — sand in every direction, and quiet.

Twenty rooms and suites spread across three buildings. The palette stays neutral: Italian furniture, marble floors, wooden beams overhead, wrought-iron bed frames. The suites add a private outdoor terrace with a plunge pool.

Days pass between the large outdoor pool with its hydrotherapy equipment, the private beach, the sundeck, the sauna, the spa. At Il Ginepro, the all-day restaurant, the kitchen keeps to the Mediterranean.
