Islander Resort

The place

Twenty-four acres of island estate in Islamorada, in the Florida Keys. Islander Resort was recently refreshed, and it shows — a breezy, modern lightness runs through the 139 bungalows, suites, and villas. White and neutral tones, wood and wicker furniture, a pastel touch here and there, and private patios for the slow hours.

Two outdoor pools and a private beach carry the days. Pickleball courts, yoga classes, bocce, a PuttTek course, and watersport equipment wait for when you want them.

Of the three places to eat and drink, Drift On The Beach serves coastal dishes by the water. Coccoloba, the newer bar, pours tropical drinks.
