The place

Jade Mountain rises seven storeys above the St Lucian coast — stone, bold colour, curved lines, and individual bridges, conceived by its owner and architect, Nick Troubetzkoy.

There are 29 suites, no more. Each is furnished in bespoke pieces cut from more than twenty species of tropical hardwood, and each is missing its outer wall, so the room simply opens onto both Pitons. A large private infinity pool and a balcony with lounge beds complete the picture.

Beyond the suite: a communal infinity pool, a Cybex fitness studio, and two soft-sand beaches within the 600-acre estate. Days pass scuba diving, mountain biking, playing tennis, sailing, fishing, hiking, or watching birds.

Jade Cuisine, led by award-winning chef Allen Susser, cooks for guests only — fresh, refined, drawn from the tropics around it. Some evenings, live music.
