The place

A majestic 1909 building on the shore of Lake Zurich, reimagined by Philippe Starck as an imaginary yacht club. The 40 rooms and suites are built from dark wood, mirrors, metal, and soft curves — some open onto private balconies with the whole lake in view.

A compact fitness room covers the essentials. The kitchens do the rest. Eden Kitchen, the signature restaurant and bar, keeps a refined Mediterranean-Italian menu; La Muña, up on the roof, turns to Peruvian-Japanese cooking with the lake below.
