The place
Le Barthélemy takes the front row at Grand Cul-de-Sac in St Barts, its building set squarely before the ocean. Sybille de Margerie designed the 52 rooms, suites, and villas in neutral tones with teal accents — elegant furnishings, a private terrace for each, a private pool for some.
The infinity pool and white sand beach are the heart of it, lined with sun beds and umbrellas. A 24-hour gym, watersports equipment, and a spa with hammam, sauna, and Nordic baths fill out the days. Dining belongs to Amis St. Barth, where Michelin-starred chef Jérémy Czaplick cooks an island-inflected Mediterranean menu.
