The place

Le Sirenuse holds to the beachfront cliffs of Positano, where the Amalfi Coast falls away to open water. Inside, an old-world coastal opulence: fifty-eight rooms, no two alike, layered with antique furniture, Suzani rugs, and custom tiles, Eau d’Italie waiting in the bath. Each opens onto its own scenic balcony.

The outdoor pool carries mosaics by Nicolas Party beneath its surface, the sea sweeping beyond. Elsewhere, a gym, a sauna, a granite steam bath, an ice room, treatment rooms. At La Sponda and Aldo’s, two rooms made for romance, chef Gennaro Russo keeps the Mediterranean cooking refined and unhurried.
