The place
In Edinburgh's Old Town, among centuries of stone, Market Street Hotel is unapologetically new. The interior follows the facade: sleek, minimal, restrained. FG STIJL shaped the 98 rooms and suites with contemporary furniture, wooden panels, marble vanities and the occasional touch of tartan.
The Mhor Suite adds a separate living area, a bathtub and a private terrace. At the top of the building sits Nor'Loft, a champagne lounge with the city spread out below — a wide list of champagnes and drinks, cheese fondues, and seasonal dishes made for sharing, drawn from local flavours.
