Beckett Locke
The place
Beckett Locke is an apartment hotel in Dublin's North Docks, shaped by studios AvroKO and C+W O'Brien Architects. The grey brick facade gives little away; inside, the lobby turns pale pink, with light wood, greenery, and colour worked through.
The 241 apartments run from studios to two-bedroom suites, set in light blue with vibrant furnishing and wooden floors. Each has a full SMEG kitchen, a work desk, a washer and dryer, a smart TV — the makings of a longer stay.
A cozy co-working space and a compact fitness studio, free weights and benches, sit within the building. The coffee shop handles the rest: fresh pastries, sandwiches, homemade cakes.
