The place
Max Brown Hotel Missori opened in early 2024, steps from the Duomo in Milan. Amsterdam-based designer Saar Zafrir revived an old hotel building with a nod to the 1970s: sixty rooms of dark wooden panels, repurposed furniture, and pops of yellow. Some come with a private balcony, some with a bathtub.
There is no restaurant inside — just a cosy bar for freshly brewed coffee by day and classic cocktails after dark. The neighbourhood fills in the rest, with Seta and Nobu Milan among the tables nearby.
