Monterey Beach Hotel

The place

Monterey Beach Hotel occupies more than 600 feet of beachfront — the only hotel set on the Monterey Peninsula itself. IndiDesign's recent reimagining gives the interiors a mid-century coastal ease. The 192 guest rooms keep to white and blue, warmed by bespoke furniture, dark wood accents, and elevated amenities.

Outside, a large pool with loungers, a cold plunge, and barrel saunas; inside, a 24-hour fitness center. The reopening brought three places to eat and drink. The Lantern Room turns fresh local produce into coastal dishes, while Tidewater sets dinner right at the edge of the sea.
