The place

A seventeenth-century manor house on the Dorset coast near Weymouth, with beaches and hills for neighbours and little else. Recently refreshed, it keeps its old-world manner alongside modern comfort — rooms run from classic doubles sleeping three to family rooms for six, each with charming decor and well-appointed amenities.

The house works for couples and families alike. Treatments in the relaxation space for one, table tennis and mini golf in The Play Barn for the other — with an indoor pool, a cinema room, a squash court and tennis courts in between. The light-filled restaurant serves seasonal dishes and lighter plates through the day.
