The place

From the street, Roomers Frankfurt is an unassuming former office building near the Central Station. Inside, designer Oana Rosen turned the lights down. Dark, moody, opulent — the 116 rooms and suites glow in purple and gold, all gloss and velvet.

The Roomers SPA holds a whirlpool, a steam bath, and a sauna, then opens onto a rooftop terrace lined with loungers. A scenic fitness center sits alongside.

Burbank serves a Pan-Asian menu with California influences. Roomers Bar, glamorous by design, handles the rest of the evening.
