The place

Sommerro revived a 1930s landmark in Oslo's Frogner, and the Art Deco spirit never left. The 231 rooms and suites come in various styles, each with opulent vintage-inspired furnishing, hand-knitted rugs, and quietly upscale amenities.

The wellness floor runs to 1,400 square metres, recently renovated: a beautifully tiled indoor pool, a sauna, a cold plunge, a state-of-the-art gym, treatment rooms. Higher still, a rooftop pool with cabanas and a sauna of its own.

Seven culinary concepts, spanning Thai to Japanese. Ekspedisjonshallen serves brasserie classics all day; TAK Oslo pairs Nordic and Japanese on the roof.
