The place

Three 17th-century-style houses behind cedar shingles at Brant Point, Nantucket. Inside, Bergmeyer's design takes the traditional inn somewhere lighter — 26 rooms in bright tones, exposed wooden beams overhead, modern furniture, curated amenities, and Michael Gaillard's photography on the walls.

The lawn is the heart of it: loungers, firepits, lawn games, long afternoons. An outdoor plunge pool waits for a cold dip. No formal restaurant — instead, an ever-changing breakfast, light bites through the day, and a bar pouring local craft beer, a curated wine list, and specialty cocktails.
