The Douglas
The place
An 1850s private residence in Savannah's Historic District, now a sixteen-room hotel. The white facade gives little away. Inside, the mood turns to vintage glamour — sage green and dusty tones, Murano chandeliers, Turkish rugs. Aesop in the bath, a Dyson hair dryer in the drawer.
Mornings bring an à la carte breakfast by acclaimed chef Jacques Larson. Evenings, a cocktail in the Drawing Room, or the parlor's complimentary bites. In-room treatments and massages can be arranged. There is no formal restaurant on site yet; Lester's, a full-service dining room, is set to open in early 2026.
