Downtown Durham, in a 1960s Space Age building. LA studio Commune Design took its cue from the distinct facade and turned the interior toward mid-century modern.
The 53 rooms and suites carry the palette — blue carpets, mustard curtains, a red tabletop, Raleigh Denim blankets on the bed. Plush bedding, a work desk, free wifi.
A 24-hour gym is on site. Three places to eat and drink: The Restaurant at The Durham handles American classics and regional dishes, while the Roof stays open-air for drinks and light bites.
