The place
On Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown, a sleek modern building given over to local designer Sean Knibb. He worked in raw exposed concrete, marble floors, large plants, and bold artwork.
The 384 distinct rooms and suites keep the concrete bare, walls and beams alike, set against eclectic vintage furnishings, Mexican textiles, and original artwork and objects. Large floor-to-ceiling windows open onto expansive city views; Los Angeles goes on and on.
A 24-hour gym, and a lively outdoor pool with loungers and lush greenery. Beside the pool sits Openaire — a greenhouse-inspired restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Josiah Citrin. Alfred Coffee handles the mornings; three bars handle the rest.
