The place

A 1960s building on the rugged coastline of Northern California, just north of Jenner, restored with Mithun. The lodge keeps faith with the original architecture — simple materials that echo the coast outside.

The 17 rooms and studios are spare in the best sense. White walls, light wood, minimalistic mid-century furnishing, local artwork, a line of deep blue. Bathing Culture toiletries, a work desk, free wifi — the basics, quietly handled.

The Dining Room serves fresh seasonal dishes from locally sourced ingredients. Black Point, Pebble Beach, and Stengel Beach wait a stone's throw from the door.
