The place

In Denver's RiNo district, The Source Hotel sits inside an irregularly stacked building by Dynia Architects, joined to the Source market hall next door. Inside, concrete and wood carry an industrial, contemporary mood.

The 100 rooms and suites follow the same line, softened by Scandinavian and Japanese touches. In some, a working garage door doubles as the window — roll it up and the room opens to the air.

On the roof, a plunge pool looks out over the mountains and the city. A gym holds machines and free weights. Downstairs, Temaki Den rolls sushi — among the city's best — and Safta cooks modern Israeli food.
