East of Central Park, The Surrey occupies a 1920s Art Deco building on the Upper East Side. Martin Brudnizki — also behind Fouquet's New York and Broadwick Soho — shaped the interior: creamy hues, marble floors, a timeless calm with modern touches.
The 114 rooms, suites, and residences stay in the same neutral register. Antique-inspired furniture, patterned carpets, artwork, subtle color. Marble bathrooms, Frette linens, Antica Farmacista in the bath.
A fitness center and an outdoor patio for yoga sit alongside the spa — two treatment rooms, a steam room, a sauna, a salt room, a sensorial shower. Casa Tua, the restaurant and lounge, keeps to Italian and Mediterranean cooking.
