The place

On the waterfront cliffs of Les Goudes, at the far edge of Marseille. Marion Mailaender designed the interior with a nostalgic French Riviera charm, a nod to Le Corbusier in the eight intimate rooms — sunny colours, repurposed furniture, curated objects, oversized beds.

Step outside and the rocks are dressed in yellow-striped lounge beds. From there, the ocean is a jump away. The living room and outdoor deck hold some of the best sea views around.

The kitchen matters here. Chef Sylvain Roucayrol runs Tuba Restaurant and Bikini, moving between Italian, Provençal, Greek, and Corsican plates.
