The place
Wonil Hotel Perth opened in February 2023, the first hotel in Australia under Accor's Handwritten Collection. It sits within a modern complex just south of Kings Park & Botanic Garden, on a tranquil stretch of the Swan River.
The 66 rooms and suites are minimal and Scandinavian in spirit: a cosy neutral and wooden palette, lofty ceilings, sophisticated furnishing. King bedding, a TV with Chromecast, a Nespresso machine, free wifi. Some rooms open onto a balcony with the river below.
Guests have complimentary access to the fitness centre at the University of WA, about a ten-minute walk away. On-site, West Kitchen & Bar keeps things casual — a Perth-inspired menu and a curated wine list.
